MapleStory is Fifth Anniversary

Nexon is celebrating MapleStory's fifth anniversary next week, and the festivities have already begun! Maple Story mesos. Kicking things off is a Cake vs. Pie battle event, where players will choose either the Cake or Pie faction in an "epic war of desserts."

All Dual Blade characters will be part of a secret organization of thieves created by Syl, the deceased Dark Lord's daughter, and will have access to the Secret Garden meeting place. Syl's hatred for the successor to her father's place as Dark Lord has fueled the growth of this secret organization and players can now join her in her mission to avenge his death.

Whichever faction either defeats the designated boss or defends the boss successfully will be rewarded with control of one of the game's four major towns.
